To book one of our trainings, it is very easy: you just need to fill the booking form, and click on “Book Now”. We will get in touch with you to confirm and validate your subscription.

Once the form is sent, we will manage your booking within a couple of days. You will receive a mail for confirmation with a bill, which you will need to pay by wire transfer or through our online payment platform, and send a course preparation form (equipment, assistance and medical cover, etc.).

If you didn’t pick a date for the training but you want to book for someone else (in case of a gift for example), booking process will stay the same. We will keep your file until the course is chosen.

Nepal - The High Plateau of Mustang

This is an adventure in Upper Mustang, of eleven days including seven over 2500m altitude (8,000 feet), with a trek over 4800m (15,500ft). Four night in bivouac, a strong trek with steep climbs (so it is for people already have mountain experience or regular sport activity), hot and cold climates (maybe a couple night under -5°C / 23°F), magnificent dry mountain landscapes, flights in little twin-engine planes, sleeping on the rough, and high chances to glimpse on the blue sheep, eagles and vultures, foxes and maybe tracks of wolves or of the elusive snow leopard…

Day 1

We will pick you up at the airport for a transfer flight to Pokhara. You will have a terrific view on the Himalayas, highest mountain range of the World. Flying over the city and having a first peek on the biggest lake of the country, you will then be taken by cab to your hotel in town, and enjoy a traditional nepali meal. When the evening comes we will gather to give you a briefing on the expedition, get our equipment ready, and share the food rations. Whatever you don’t need can be kept at the hotel during the training. Night in a comfortable bed (altitude below 1000m / 3,000ft).


Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport and flight to Jomsom by a small twin-engine plane. A traditional thakali meal at the inn in Jomsom. Warm-up trek to the village of Kagbeni (2H, small ascending elevation). Diner and night in a lodge (altitude over 2500m / 8,000ft).


Day 3

Breakfast at the lodge. Mountain walk by trails to the fortress of Jhong (about 3H, steep ascending elevation). Visit of the fortress and meeting with the young amchi (Tibetan doctor) for a first initiation to medicinal plants. Acclimatizing walk between 3500 and 4000m and a first peek at the Himalayan ecosystem. Light diner (rice and soup) and night in a lodge at Jhong (altitude over 3500m / 11,000ft).


Day 4

Breakfast at the lodge. High mountain walk following game trails, under the range of Muktinath Himal (about 31/2H, steep incline) to our first campsite. Installation of a mountain bivouac, water treatment (from a small stream). Night in bivouac under the Khatung Kang (altitude 4000m / 13,000ft).


Day 5

High mountain walk following game trails, along the Panda khola (about 4H, steep incline). Installation of a mountain bivouac, water treatment (from a small river), foraging some edible plants. Night in bivouac by the Panda river (altitude 4500m - 14,500ft).


Day 6

It is the day of the strongest challenge. High-mountain walk in a very exposed, cold and dry area, to the pass (about 3H, steep incline) then following the glacier of Timchibhuk to our campsite (about 2H, medium gradients). Installation of our bivouac, water treatment (from a glacier melt stream). Night in a survival bivouac under the Timchibhuk danda (altitude over 4500m / 15,000ft).


Day 7

High mountain walk in rocky off-track ridges to the altitudinal limit of the forest (about 41/2H, medium gradients). Survival courses about orientation, distress signals and other techniques. Installation of our bivouac in the forest, forage for edibles and collect of wood. Night in bivouac on the Hyarukang danda (altitude 4000m / 13,000ft).


Day 8

Mountain walk following game trails to the Bönpo monastery (about 31/2H, strong decline). Snack at the traditional village of Thini. For those who still have some energy, visit to the holy lake of Dhumba (about 2H walk). Festive diner and night in lodge at Thinigaon (altitude under 3000m / 10,000ft).


Day 9

Extraction! After an easy walk down by trekking trails, we finally reach civilization at Jomsom (under 1H, medium decline). We have breakfast and a real coffee, and then fly back to Pokhara. Installation at our hotel, and personal time out in the afternoon. Diner in a nice restaurant by the lake. Night in the hotel in a comfortable bed (altitude below 1000m / 3,000ft).


Day 10

Breakfast at the hotel, transfer by taxi to the airport and flight back to Kathmandu. Installation at the newari residence of Dwarika Chhen. Visit of Basantapur (historical neighborhood of the capital) and private time for shopping or other errands. Traditional newari diner and night at the residence.


Day 11

Transfer to the airport and flight back to your home country.
